Known for its natural beauty and resources Dehradun is the capital city of Northern state Uttarakhand. Located in the foothills of Himalayas Dehradun is in Doon valley. Covered with Ganges and Yamuna Rivers of India the beautiful city is the heart of Uttarakhand.

The city has always a pleasant climate and has many popular hill stations near it. The nearest hill station is Mussoorie which is 35 km from the city, Chakrata which is 88 km, Dhanaulti is 60 km. Other tourist attractions places like Haridwar and Rishikesh are nearby which are 55 km and 45 km respectively. It is also in places to visit near Delhi.

1. Robber’s Cave

Locally known as Guchhupani, Robber’s Cave is situated near Sahasradhara is a tourist attraction point in Dehradun. Located at a distance of approx 8 km from the main city this beautiful river cave is formed in the Himalayas. The cave is about 600 m long and the highest waterfall in about 10 m long and divides into two main parts. It is a natural cave formed and now manage by Uttarakhand state. The entry is free in the cave and also bus service to Anarwala village from where you can trek to the location.
